Arriving in Melbourne at 7 in the morning, the chilly weather was instantly warmed by a steaming cup of coffee. The breakfast here is truly delightful. The eggs are soft and perfectly seasoned, with a slightly tangy and spicy flavor that's rich and memorable.

Quite of interesting cocktails menu could be find here. Interesting thing is that works until late, staff is very kind and friendly. The food is a bit average, but the salads are impressive here too. Great location that makes it very convenient and busy place. Well done!

The Chilli Scramble was simply delightful. The perfect blend of spice and creaminess in every deliciously cooked egg. The service was attentive and efficient, making my breakfast experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this dish at Cafe Republic!

Been coming for years. Always great service food and coffees. I especially love the Virgin Mary here.. makes my day :) I'll take photos next time ( I am not 100% sure if virgin Mary's are on the menu but they really do make good ones :)) Edit: took some photos this time - better late than never ☺️ Edit edit: new owners - still good.

Great homemade pasta and tasty food. We walked past so many times but finally stopped by today. Service was fine, food came quickly. It just has a bit of an oldish vibe overall.

When I visited (2pm Thursday) there were not many people dining, so there were lots of tables to choose from, including out front on the footpath (under a brolly in the lovely afternoon sunshine). Sitting at a table by the window, I tried to order using the QR code on the table, and the MrYum phone app, but couldn't find my desired muffin on the menu, so I ordered via the wait staff. My large long black coffee tasted very nice, and I noticed that the large long black was not as large as some other places - but no matter. My blueberry and choc chip muffin was nicely warmed, and served with a dessert spoon - that was puzzling. Then I noticed that this muffin was so full of blueberries and choc chips, I really needed a spoon to avoid getting messy fingers - a very nice muffin, and highly recommended. The prices were reasonable: coffee $4.50 + 50c for the large, and $5 for the muffin. The other good news was that I could easily sit there for 2 hours to do my laptop homework before a presentation up the road. And the service was great.
